Beet Boost makes my heart happy!!! 💓
In more ways than one! For years it has been my go-to pre-workout beverage or recovery drink. Many days, it’s both! It helps me to feel ready to take on a tough workout, to sustain my energy throughout, and to recover more quickly afterward. Having started my plant-based journey because of a high blood pressure scare, I was particularly pleased to learn how beets can help your blood vessels dilate and stay nice and stretchy. Anthocyanins, found in tart cherries, are well known to help with inflammation and speed recovery. Beet Boost just happens to be a combination of both! Add that to the fact that they just released a new cherry flavor, and whoa…. *swoon!
It comes in a powder, and I just mix a heaping tablespoon into my 16 oz water bottle and drink it on the way to Burn Boot Camp. It helps me hydrate as well, which I may otherwise neglect to do! You can do more than just add it to your water bottle though…

Cherry Berry Instant Rice Pudding!
Ingredients:
1.5 cups cooked brown rice (I often make a rice, quinoa, lentils blend, but anything works!)
1 ripe banana, mashed
1/4 – 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1-2 Tbsp Cherry Beet Boost (new flavor!)
1/2 c blueberries
Instructions:
Mash banana, add milk and mash again to mix. Stir in rice. Microwave 45 seconds and stir again. Add more milk for desired consistency. Top with Cherry Beet Boost and blueberries. Serve and enjoy! You can stir in the Beet Boost as you eat it, or you can take a little spoonful with each bite, however you fancy!
Blueberries have amazing antioxidant properties. Brown rice, quinoa, and lentils are amazing starches that will fill you up and boost your protein. Banana is just yum and a great potassium source (also great post-workout), and the almond milk adds just the right amount of fat to give you a small calorie boost.
Put it all together, and BAM! You’ve got a winner.
