You’re on board with benefits of eating healthy, right? You know that food can be medicine, and medicine can be food, right? And you know that your family wants you to eat healthy so you can live longer and spend more holidays together, yadda, yadda, yadda. Ok, so you get it.
BUT
Maybe you’re still not sure exactly what to eat. Much less cook. And that’s just on a regular day. The holidays are coming, everyone will be sharing food and breaking bread (Ok, not everyone). So now you’ve got to cook for others. You’re not even sure if healthy food can taste good. Yikes!
Relax. I get it. I’ll help you through it. Just take the time to prepare. Prepare yourself for the onslaught of tantalizing food and tempting treats. Prepare some delicious dishes that will wow your guests. Serve up sides that will make everyone forget they ever liked having meat on their plate. Don’t let the next two months undo all the hard work you’ve put in to the last 10 months! You can do this!
Ok, so panic averted. Now what. Well, you can comb the internet looking for tasty holiday dishes and then try to modify them so they’re actually healthy. OR, you could just watch Chef AJ’s upcoming webinar: Holiday Extravaganza Party where she not only gives you the recipes but lets you watch her make them in an entertaining cooking demo! Some of my most favorite and most frequently used recipes have come from her fabulous cooking webinars in the past.
This holiday feast edition will be no different. If it tells you anything, I woke up this morning with a sneak peek of the recipes at 7am and I had the Creamy Curried Kabocha Soup on the table by breakfast… Yep, it’s that good. Dinner included the Kabocha Soup and a salad with the House Dressing. The Butterscotch Pudding recipe is in the fridge for dessert.
Without further ado, I give you the Holiday Extravaganza Party! Check it out for a list of all the recipes. Mark your calendar for Tuesday Nov 15th, 8pm EST. Don’t worry if you can’t watch the webinar live. You will still be able to watch the replay and get the recipes by email.
Eating well and living well leads to good health. And that’s the real gift that keeps on giving – not only for you, but for everyone that loves you. But just in case that’s not enough and you like your gifts wrapped in a box with a bow… I have a wonderful surprise!
Thanks to Chef AJ’s generosity, you can win access to the Holiday Extravaganza Party for free! There are several ways you can enter to win. Each activity gains you a new entry. Please note the instructions require you to come back to this page to record your activity in order for it to be counted.

I have been working on losing weight and I am finally at a weight I am happy with. I don’t want to ruin it and gain it back this holiday season. I want to be smart and thoughtful of how and what I am eating at all times.
Michelle says
To get through the holidays I still want to enjoy parties etc so I will be sure to work on keeping my portions small and bringing what I like to eat so I know at least I don’t make bad decisions.

Have subscribed, have liked the page on Facebook, have commented on one of your posts there (the Evelyn Ozniak one) – and am following you on Twitter 🙂 I’m already subscribed to the webinar – so don’t actually need an entry – but should I by some wonderful chance win – please pass it on to someone else 🙂 Happy Holidays, everybody! I’m a Brit living in Scotland – but I’m going to start celebrating with Thanksgiving, just like you guys 🙂

Thanks – Ozniak should (of course!) re Oswick – please could you correct it for me? Thank you 🙂

Liked you on FB. Holiday season is crazy around our home only because from October thru December we have not just the holidays but all our birthdays and our wedding anniversary. Too many tempting occasions around!

I am most concerned about Family gatherings this time of year. I always thought it was about WHO was around the table, but now I am finding out it was about the FOOD. I just do not feel welcome when I bring my own food.

One tactic I am using to get through this Holiday Season: I listen to Chef AJ and check into the Ultimate Weight Loss Facebook group site several times a day. Oh, I guess that is more than one – duh.

I ‘liked’ you on Facebook. I am so glad Chef AJ is having this contest so that I found out about you. I am looking forward to a new site to go to that understands this way of life!

I suppose concern would be staying compliant, but will prepare by having compliant foods and NO non-compliant ones.

Each activity should be in a separate comment because they each give you an entry in the contest. So I’ll count this reply as one of your comments too.
